Nadine Lustre and James Reid is back in the big screen to bring kiligs to all lovers, soon to be lovers and single in all ages. This Time is a romantic drama comedy directed by Nuel Crisostomo Naval. The story is based on a Wattpad entry That One Summer by Aly Almario. The story revolves with two kids meeting by unexpected circumstances and having an American summer fling cause Cody (played by Reid) visits the Philippines during summer break with his grandfather. Then she meet Ava while she is picking up an ice cream and she believes if she picked the lucky one, she can make a wish and it will come true. Until they grew and realize that they love each other. The movie is set up in the Philippines, US (where Cody is staying) and Japan (where Ava got an exchange student program and where Cody’s grandfather’s lifetime love). I like that part where they dance under the Cherry Blossoms tree. Candy Pangilinan , Al Tantay and yam Concepcion’s characters (which is Lustre’s family in the movie) gives the fun and tukso parts in the film. It teaches us that you dont need to have label to be happy but for security of what you feel for each other. Its is beautifully done and no wonder why the film is a huge success. It really gives you the JaDine fever.
